City's plan for Messi: first Manchester, then New York
Leo Messi's future is still uncertain. The Argentine's contract expires in 2021 and before signing the possible renewal he waits to understand who will be at the helm of the club after Bartomeu's resignation. From England, however, there are rumors of Manchester City's strong and continuing interest in Messi.
The English club first wants to offer Messi the opportunity to play in the Premier League and then to continue the experience with the City group in New York, thus playing in the MLS. Messi would be very attracted to playing in New York and ending his career in the American franchise.
