Alex Ring and Brad Stuver have left New York City FC. Actually, it's the club that let them go. We don't know what the incoming movements of the Blues will be, but they certainly are two very difficult players to replace. Alex Ring was a leader on the pitch and in the locker room for New York. Brad Stuver instead more inside the locker room having played very little and being the replacement for Sean Johnson.

But, apart from the roles of the two players, both were important players for the team spirit. Losing them both in one fell swoop could be bad for New York. Great teams are built with strong and talented players, but also with men who manage to create the perfect atmosphere within a group. New York City FC comes out weak in every sense after their disposals. For both technical and character qualities, the Blues lose two pillars of the team.

It will not be easy for the club to replace them, but their sale creates many doubts about the future of the Blues. The goal is always to win, every year, and then it never happens. Now the risk is that we can start a new season with lower expectations and therefore with even worse results.

There is still time to start the new season, but at the moment New York City FC is certainly not among the favorites for the final victory. It will take a great effort on the market by the club, otherwise you risk starting defeated, right from the start.
