NYC is the epicenter of Coronavirus in US
We have to admit, there isn't much news about New York City FC. The MLS is stopped, as is the Concacaf Champions League. The team isn't even training because of the coronavirus that is plaguing the United States as well. Furthermore, New York City is the epicenter of the coronavirus crisis in the United States, in part, because of the nature of the city itself, an international hub tightly packed with people from all over the country and the world. And now, what makes New York unique has also rendered it vulnerable to a global pandemic.
The city has recorded more than 25,000 cases of coronavirus across its five boroughs as of March 27. This accounts for a large share of all confirmed cases, more than 90,000, in the entire United States. The situation is not the best and clearly soccer is not attracting people's attention as before.
Clearly, players are training on their own, following the indications of Ronny Deila's staff. The immediate goal is in fact to maintain a good physical condition, with the hope that the coronavirus emergency will pass as soon as possible, to try to return to normal.
