NYCFC's Alexandru Mitrita scores again in loan stint with Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli

Alexandru Mitrita is certainly making the most of his loan stint with Saudi side Al-Ahli.

The New York City FC winger, who scored a golazo on his debut after making the move in October, struck for his third goal in nine appearances in a 2-1 win over Al-Raed Sunday. 

The Romanian international received a ball into the box with the outside of his foot, spun and buried the equalizer early in the second half.

Mitrita’s loan stint is through Jan. 2022 with a purchase option for Al-Ahli. The move was motivated by the player's personal life, bringing him closer to his native Romania, where his wife was expecting the couple's first child.
