New York City FC seems to have chosen its new goalkeeper. In fact, Matt Freese will defend the Pigeons from next season. The goalkeeper comes from Philadelphia Union. Freese is therefore preparing to leave Union after joining the club in 2018.

The imminent arrival of Freese certifies the departure of Sean Johnson. The goalkeeper will probably sign a new contract with Toronto FC.
